![]() ![]() Most likely though, because honestly what else would happen with their characters?īackstage, Marley and Ryder have another adorable moment and kiss, to Jake’s dismay. Mike (Harry Shum Jr.) and Tina may get back together. They tied the song into the storylines of different characters and made it fit, which is exactly the opposite of what they did with “Greased Lightning” and “Look At Me, I’m Sandra Dee.” Want to know why I like this song? Because they didn’t just make it a copycat version of what was done in the movie. One of the best performances of the episode was “There Are Worst Things I Can Do.” Santana sings it to Brittany (Heather Morris), Cassandra metaphorically sings it to Rachel as she gets it on with Brody, and Unique breaks my heart with the lines “And throw my life away/ On a dream that won’t come true.” Perfection. Marley then goes into “Look At Me, I’m Sandra Dee (Reprise)” and not only does she sing it well, it also mimics the storyline! I think of it as a small treasure nowadays when the storyline matches the songs so yay! Here, folks, is where we have that chemistry I was missing between her and Jake (Jacob Artist). Ryder finds Marley binging in the bathroom and cheers her up. Blaine, however, was not having a good time once he spotted Kurt in the audience and almost cried again. If he was my Teen Angel, I wouldn’t go back to high school I would go to that malt shop in the sky with him. My babies.īlaine does “Beauty School Drop Out,” and I swooned. Finn (Cory Monteith) just had that pained/ confused look that he always has, and Blaine (Darren Criss) was on the verge of tears. Rachel and Kurt go back to see the musical and have an awkward moment with their respective exes. However, I was thrilled to learn that Santana (Naya Rivera) stepped up to play Rizzo – to Tina’s (Jenna Ushkowitz) dismay. It was so sad because after watching The Glee Project season one, I know that Alex actually likes to dress in drag and his performance was just perfection. Wade’s (Alex Newell) parents are pulling him out of the show because they don’t want him to be ridiculed for portraying Rizzo they are also denying him the right to dress in drag in public anymore. The whole scene was just a poor attempt to recreate Stockard Channing’s magnificence. No longer do I think that Kitty can maybe sing well this was just terrible. While Marley is delayed, Kitty and the girls sing “Look At Me, I’m Sandra Dee,” but at Marley’s expense. Kitty has everyone over for a sleepover in which she introduces Marley to the art of binging. Rachel, it’s a trap! Oh, if only Admiral Ackbar was there. So, in light of that, Ryder’s (Blake Jenner) performance wasn’t awful it just cannot compare to Travolta’s.Īlso, I really hate how they had to censor the “Greased Lightning” lyrics it really just ruined the song.Ĭassandra offers Rachel and Kurt (Chris Colfer) her frequent flyer miles so that they can go back to Lima to see Grease. I mean, really, can anyone else ever play Danny Zuko like John Travolta? I think not. Ah! I just hate Kitty so much and this episode did not help.Īfter being kicked out of the auditorium because of Sue, the New Directions practice “Greased Lightning” in Burt’s auto shop for some method acting. Mission accomplished, you heartless… person. Marley (Melissa Benoist) is having trouble fitting into her costume because that god awful Kitty (Becca Tobin) is secretly sabotaging her costumes by cutting off inches in order to make Marley paranoid about her weight. Brody turns down Cassandra in order to help Rachel. Well, he is one hot tamale, so I understand. ![]() Cassandra (Kate Hudson) also asks Brody to become her T.A. ![]() ![]() Rachel (Lea Michele) has an audition for an off-Broadway show and asks Brody (Dean Geyer) to help her out. Four (well, two) for you, Ryan Murphy, you go Ryan Murphy. I’m just… give me a sec… thank you, Ryan Murphy bless you, you wonderful man – whoa, I’m losing myself a bit, but let’s give him props for a moment because not only was Glee good but American Horror Story was top-notch this week. THE TRUE SUE (Jane Lynch) IS BACK! Furious at the fact that Finn is taking over the New Directions, Sue throws a fit in the hallway that only dramatic opera music can describe – not to mention it is like the one she did back in season one. Now, of course, I don’t mean every thing, but overall, well done Ryan Murphy, well done. Well, call me a monkey’s uncle, but I thought tonight’s episode was really good.
